‘MAHAGAMI’ Mahatma Gandhi Mission Sangeet Academy, Aurangabad is one of the premiere Dance-Gurukuls in India that imparts training in Kathak and Odissi dance forms based on the ancient Guru-shishya tradition. Having journey of two decades, MAHAGAMI has evolved as an important center for promotion, research and dissemination of Indian art and culture.

The only center of its kind in Maharashtra state, MAHAGAMI is a member of International Dance Council, UNESCO and was the first ISO certified art-organization in the world to successfully draft a Quality Manual exculsively for arts and Gurukul Tradition of Education under the leadership of Parwati Dutta, Director and Guru at MAHAGAMI, the organization has produced quite a few promising performers, teachers, researchers in addition to imparting training to more than 2000 disciples. Around 100,000 local population benefitted from its arts-awareness campaign ‘ANUBHUTI’.

Mahagami Heritage travel

Etymologically Mahagami means ‘sojourner of great pilgrims’. Keeping this as our philosophy we have consciously designed this heritage tour packages to cater to the cultural, educative and artistic needs of art seekers and cultural enthusiasts. Apart from Gurukul experience, a customized trip to heritage sites of Aurangabad region with experienced tour guides will be provided. On request, we can arrange art scholars/ historians to guide your trip through some heritage sites and bring you invaluable insights. OUTDOOR: Total heritage experience

Destination: MAHAGAMI guided tours to Ajanta, Ellora, Daulatabad fort, MGM Khadi center, Naturopathy.

Day 1

9 AM: Check-in Gandhi Dham, Mahagami.

10 AM onwards: After breakfast, a guided tour to Ellora caves for an experiential tour.

8 PM onwards: Return to Mahagami for dinner.

7 AM-8 AM: Early breakfast and tea

8 AM onwards: A guided tour to Ajanta caves

8 PM onwards: Return to Mahagami for dinner/dine outside.

Day 1

9 AM- 10 AM: Check in and breakfast

10 AM onwards: A guided tour  to the historic sites of bibi ka maqbara and Aurangabad caves.

12 onwards: Choice for lunch in the city or back to Mahagami

2 PM onwards: After lunch, continue with the indulging in the learning about city’s heritage and shop around local artisan shops.

7 PM onwards: Back to Mahagami for dinner and unwind

Day 2

8 AM- 9 AM: Breakfast and tea

9 AM -12AM: Guided tour around Mahagami campus and visit to MGM khadi center.
